Iliyasu Abba Abdullahi holds a B.Sc. in Building from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria. Following his graduation, he worked as a Construction Manager for Prime Metro Properties Ltd, a company based in Central London with a keen interest in real estate development and investment in strategic cities globally. He was based in Lagos, Nigeria, the nation’s economic capital. After five years, he pursued an M.Sc. in Construction Management at Coventry University. Upon completing his studies, he briefly worked at Scottish and Southern Electric UK before returning to Nigeria to start Hilmun Consortium as the principal partner. During this time, he was appointed as a consultant to the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID). He later earned a doctorate from the University of Nottingham, focusing on improving mega infrastructure delivery through modern and technology-driven methodologies.

As an undergraduate, Iliyasu co-founded Appglobal Ltd with a friend to provide technological solutions for clients in supply chain management, value creation, and operational optimization. Currently, this company manages the educational scholarship websites for the Kaduna, Kano, and Jigawa state governments, among other clients. Additionally, Iliyasu is the operational head of FAmCo Group, a consortium responsible for managing the Nigerian government’s agricultural anchor program in the northwestern region.

Iliyasu joined Canes Properties Ltd as a Chief Technical Officer(CTO) to the management and supports the company across various facets of its operations.
